Black raspberries, Cognac, and a crowned orb bottle: France's plushest berry liqueur.
Loire Valley, France, 1982
It is modeled on a raspberry liqueur made in the Loire in the late 1600s, said to have been served to Louis XIV at the Château de Chambord; Norton 'Sky' Cooper built the modern brand around that story.
Black and red raspberries are infused, then married with Madagascar vanilla, Moroccan citrus peel, honey, and XO Cognac.
Jammy black raspberry and vanilla with a honeyed, velvet weight; built for topping with Champagne.
