Tuscany's vanilla-anise skyscraper: the tall bottle behind the Harvey Wallbanger.

Distiller Arturo Vaccari launched it in 1896 and named it for Major Giuseppe Galliano, a celebrated Italian officer of the First Italo-Ethiopian War.
Around thirty botanicals (star anise, ginger, lavender, and juniper among them) are infused and distilled in stages; pressed vanilla joins last, over neutral spirit and sugar.

Did you know
The fluted bottle was styled after classical Roman columns; in the 1970s the Harvey Wallbanger, a Screwdriver with a Galliano float, made it one of America's most imported liqueurs.
