Turin's sweet white vermouth, from the house credited with inventing the category.

Antonio Benedetto Carpano is credited with creating modern vermouth in Turin in 1786; the Bianco expression came much later, in the 1930s, and the brand now sits with Fratelli Branca.
White wine is fortified and aromatized with a large botanical blend built on wormwood, then sweetened. Bianco is pale and sweet, a separate style from the dry French one.
Vanilla, citrus blossom, and honeyed white fruit over a soft wormwood bitterness. Rounder than dry vermouth and lighter than the red.

Vermouth takes its name from wermut, the German word for wormwood, the bitter herb every version is still built around.
