Maracuja's tart perfume in liqueur form: the rare bottle that brings its own acidity.
Brazil via France, 1986
Cointreau's master distiller went to Brazil hunting oranges in 1985 and came back taken with maracuja; Passoa, built on Brazilian passion fruit juice, launched the next year.
Passion fruit juice and aromas on a neutral-spirit base, sweetened just enough to soften the fruit's natural sharpness.
Tart tropical punch of guava, citrus, and floral musk; bright enough to wake up a spritz or a sour.
Did you know
Spanish missionaries named the fruit: they read the passion flower's parts as symbols of the Crucifixion, and the Passion of Christ stuck to the vine.
Also known as: passoa, passionfruit liqueur, chinola, passion fruit chinola, giffard passionfruit, chinola liqueur
