Ginger ale, grenadine, brandied cherry. Named for the actress, served to children for nearly a century.
Typical way it's made: 6 oz lemon-lime soda, 0.5 oz grenadine, cherry garnish
Hollywood invented a cocktail ceremony for a child who could not drink: soda, a slug of grenadine, and a cherry, named for the most famous child star the movies ever produced. Chasen's, the Brown Derby, and Waikiki's Royal Hawaiian all claim the first one. Temple herself found the drink too sweet and was never shy about saying so.
