Half frozen piña colada, half frozen strawberry daiquiri, layered in one glass and named, by every telling, for the pastel cop show that ran from 1984 to 1989. No credible inventor has surfaced; it seems to have appeared wherever resort blenders hummed in the 1980s. The name did the marketing, and the drink kept the job.
