Typical way it's made: 1 oz dark rum, 1 oz coconut rum, 0.5 oz white rum, 2 oz pineapple juice, 2 oz orange juice, 0.5 oz grenadine, blended or shaken
Nobody owns the Bahama Mama. Nassau bartender Oswald Greenslade long claimed he mixed the first at the Nassau Beach Hotel, though the drink appears to predate his career; the name is popularly traced to a mid-century calypso performer billed as the Bahama Mama. The constants, wherever you order one: rums plural, pineapple, orange, and grenadine.

There is no canonical recipe; resort menus and cocktail guides disagree on nearly everything except rum and fruit juice, so two Bahama Mamas from two bars are effectively two different drinks.
