Barley whiskey from Ireland, usually triple-distilled, smooth on purpose.
Island of Ireland
Uisce beatha, water of life, turned into whiskey on English tongues, and Ireland led the world's whiskey trade in the late 1800s before tariffs, Prohibition, and trade war brought the crash.
Distilled from barley, usually three times by tradition, and aged at least three years in wooden casks on the island of Ireland; the native single pot still style mixes malted and unmalted barley.
Honey, green apple, and toasted grain with a round, easy finish. Pot still versions add spice and a creamy weight.
