The category exists because coconut rum got there first and defined the flavour; these are the bottles that deliver it without committing the drink to a rum base.
Coconut is infused into neutral spirit and sweetened, sometimes with cream or coconut water for body. Clear styles keep it light; cream styles run thicker and sweeter.
Toasted coconut and vanilla with a rounded sweetness and a short finish. Cleaner and less confected than coconut rum, and easier to place beside a spirit that is not rum.
Did you know
It is not interchangeable with cream of coconut, which is the sweetened purée a Piña Colada is built on. That one carries the body, this one carries the flavour.
