Bologna's soft rose-and-orange amaro, named for a princess and blended from 40 botanicals.

Stanislao Cobianchi abandoned the seminary, sailed the world collecting botanicals, and set up his Bologna steam distillery in 1885.
Forty botanicals, vanilla, orange peel, and eucalyptus among them, are worked into separate extracts and blended; the house says the complete recipe is known to only three people.
