Vodka, coffee liqueur, cream. The Dude's drink. Heavier than a Black Russian by exactly one ingredient.
Typical way it's made: 2 oz vodka, 1 oz coffee liqueur, 1 oz heavy cream
The Black Russian came first: Brussels, 1949, where Hotel Metropole bartender Gustave Tops stirred vodka and coffee liqueur for Perle Mesta, the American ambassador to Luxembourg. Someone added cream, and by 1965 the White Russian was turning up in American newspapers. The Big Lebowski (1998) then did for it what no bartender could, making the Dude's Caucasian a cult order.

The Oxford English Dictionary's first sighting of the name is a November 1965 Oakland Tribune item whose recipe called for equal parts vodka, cream, and a liqueur named Coffee Southern.
